Social Justice Committee Caring Committee This group of congregants provides support – visits, care packages, meals, phone calls, cards, and more – to members in times of need. Volunteer Our members have been volunteering at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen for over twenty-five years. Volunteers work on the fourth Monday of every month.
Caring
Our community performs acts of loving kindness throughout the year. Our efforts are made by individuals as well as led by our Caring Committee, a group of congregants of all ages who reach out to other members in times of need. Friendly visits, caring packages, making Shabbat dinners, phone calls, shivah visits, cards of congratulations.
Spare Change
The 2009/2010 7th grade of our Religious School created Spare Change in their class, A Blessing and a Light. The goal of the project is to collect 1,005,000 dimes – one dime to honor each of the 1,000,000 Jewish children lost to The Holocaust and one dime to honor each of the 5,000 German children.
